The project transformed the exposed side wall of an abandoned building in Berlin-Kreuzberg through a temporary installation of curtains suspended from the structure's remaining chimney supports.
Side walls are temporary urban surfaces. They preserve the traces of demolished buildings while anticipating future construction. Suspended across the empty façade, the curtains suggested an interior that no longer existed, introducing a domestic gesture into a fragment of architecture left exposed by the city's continuous transformation.
Visible primarily from neighbouring apartments, the intervention established a quiet dialogue with the surrounding residential buildings, temporarily reactivating a forgotten part of the streetscape.
